I am looking for a new set of hiking boots. I have a set of merrell hiking boots which have been outstanding in their 8 years of service.
Before I went in search of more of the same I thought I'd get some input. I need to find a local store where I can go get something very soon.
Thanks, Pete

Well peterng, there are two way to go...hiking or hunting! Hiking boots tend to be a lower cut boot (never more then 6 to 8 inches tall) but built well. A good huning boot is just as good for hiking but the tend to be taller and keep the crud out of your boot better. If you want hiking boots look at Radical Edge on Queen St which is downtown Fredericton. If you want a good hunting boot I would recommend going to the Co-op in Fredericton as they sell Irish Setter hunting boots and I sweat by them! Hope that helps!

I have a pair of Irish Setter rubber boots and they are amazing on the feet, feels like your wearing a pair of broken in sneakers. As for the GoreTex hunting boots I have tried them on and they feel amazing too. A friend of mine has a pair and everytime we are out hunting I feel jealous...lol. Someday I will get a pair. Hey there is an idea for another board!!!

Moraguy,
That's a solid overview. I think I should be getting myself to the Co-op.
Did you mean the Co-op out on the Vanier or the farm co-op on St. Marys St?
Thanks, Pete
